This course focuses on the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF). It discusses the most common causes of CHF and emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis, especially in the elderly . This course reviews the 'Boston Criteria for Diagnosing Heart Failure' and the 'New York Heart Association Functional Classification of CHF'. Physical Examination, in particular an evaluation of a patient's respiratory status are presented. Diagnostic testing is discussed.
