This course reviews the causes of depression among older adults and primary types of depressive disorders in this age group. The course provides information on assessment and differential diagnosis, and includes the 15 item Geriatric Depression Scale. Detailed information on antidepressant medication and other psychotherapeutic interventions are discussed.
