This course defines and describes the incidence of fibromyalgia in the general population. It identifies the diagnostic criteria, clinical features, symptoms, and aggravating and relieving factors of fibromyalgia. The role of the health care team is identified, treatment approaches are described, and the prognosis for the individual with fibromyalgia is explained. Additional resources available to the individual with fibromyalgia are listed.
