The major pathophysiology and symptoms of multiple sclerosis are described in this course. Methods used to diagnose multiple sclerosis and current medications used in its treatment are listed. The different forms of multiple sclerosis are identified. The physical and occupational therapy treatment techniques that may be used for patients and the effects of exercise on patients with multiple sclerosis are discussed. The course lists energy conservation and work simplification strategies for patients with multiple sclerosis.
