Title: Motor Speech Disorders: Differential Diagnosis and Updates on Treatment.
This course focuses on best practices in assessment and treatment of motor speech disorders (MSD) in a wide variety of clinical populations throughout the lifespan. It will provide insight into latest advances in the clinical implications of the underlying features that result in the various types of dysarthrias (flaccid, spastic, ataxic, hyperkinetic, hypokinetic, mixed). Through case analysis, participants will be able to accurately determine
a differential diagnosis to guide treatment decisions.
Best practice treatments will include integration
of motor learning approaches with neuromuscular treatments as well as with medical interventions.
