“Failure is not an option” when children’s educations are at stake, and yet very few of the many people participating in individualized education program (IEP) meetings have been trained in how to work through disagreement and strong emotion so as to maintain collaboration and achieve consensus. This training provides practical steps that can lead through impasse to success or minimize the damage if agreement will not be reached.
