This Introductory Level course provides an overview of the school-based speech-language pathologist’s roles and responsibilities in a Response to Intervention Framework. Direct and indirect SLP services to support standards-based speech and language skills can be provided for two primary purposes in RTI: to allow for early identification and to prevent placement in special education. Suggestions for RTI services using a workload approach are provided.
