This course includes the pathophysiology, etiology, risk factors, and pathology of osteoarthritis of the knee. It discusses the diagnostic procedures including the criteria for classification, history, physical examination, imaging, and laboratory tests. Goals of management and treatment are presented including physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacology, surgical alternatives, self-help programs, and non-traditional alternatives.
