Online/Printable/Mailed - 4 Contact Hours - Description: The purpose of this entry-level course is to provide a broad overview of the range of issues commonly seen in children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs); highlight the impact of ASDs on children and their families, as well as the influence of environmental and personal factors on occupational performance; and describe selected occupational therapy interventions for children with ASDs. Two vignettes are used to assist readers’ understanding of the possible clinical presentations of children with ASDs.
