Reaching Skills in Children

See all courses from Edlantis Seminars, Inc.

Instructor's Name: Joel Desotelle, MS OTR/L

Online/Printable/Mailed - 2 PDUs - Description: In order to use our hands successfully, we need to be able to bring them together at the right place and right time. Catching a ball, for example, requires reaching out to position the hands and closing the hands at the right time, otherwise the ball will be dropped or missed altogether. This course covers mature reaching skills, development of reaching in infancy, and reaching skills in children with disabilities to provide each therapist with an understanding of reaching and eye-hand coordination to improve outcomes in children with coordination issues.
