This intensive lab course will focus on an evidence based approach to examination and treatment of the shoulder complex, and will address the multitude of conditions and syndromes that cause shoulder pain and impact overall function including impingement conditions, rotator cuff tendonitis, bicipital tendonitis, subacromial bursitis, adhesive capsulitis, frozen shoulder pain, arthritis, overuse syndromes, scapular syndromes, shoulder instability, thoracic outlet syndrome and radiculitis/peripheral nerve entrapment. Differential diagnosis of this region including cervico-thoracic contribution to the shoulder conditions will be discussed. Best practices for diagnostic accuracy will integrate manual examination methods and clinical special tests. Treatment strategies will be based on impairments and classifications. The treatment approach will be unique and integrates the best evidence in a clinically relevant manner.
