Learn how to assess and treat babies from birth to 3 years old with known or suspected neuromotor impairments. An emphasis will be placed on the practical application of treatment strategies to gain functional outcomes appropriate for this age group and how to incorporate therapeutic strategies into family life.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Identify sensory-motor issues specifically related to infants.
• Analyze gross motor, fine motor, oral motor and respiratory function.
• Develop treatment strategies for the infant and toddler.
• Identify appropriate adaptive equipment for the 0 to 3 year old.
• Identify family issues relevant to the 0 to 3 year old.
