in Post-Stroke Rehabilitation (#1573/Video)Mental Practice has emerged as a viable, cost effective intervention to be added to O.T. programs for post-stroke rehabilitation. The literature suggests mental practice can reduce upper limb impairments, improve arm and hand function, and enhance performance of activities of daily living. In this presentation, emphasis will be on developing a basic understanding of what mental practice is, why it might be effective, and the variables that need to be considered when applying it to clinical practice.
