During this Seminar-On-Demand the clinician will learn how to increase understanding of children's negative feelings. Adina discusses six tools to help accept, manage, and empathize with children's negative feelings in a therapy setting.Praise is probably the single most effective way to encourage, motivate and increase repeat positive behavior in children. Praise also increases self-esteem. Children with developmental disabilities - including communication disorders - are at risk for low self-esteem, and one of our responsibilities as clinicians is to ensure that the client will have a more positive view of self. Using praise effectively is one way to achieve that goal.
