This video based continuing education course begins by defining obesity in adults and children. Chad instructs clinicians on the basics of nutrition and the physiology of digestion and metabolism before moving on to incidence and symptoms of DM II, HTN, heart disease, sleep apnea and stroke with obesity and identify treatment measures. Clinicians also gain knowledge of links between obesity and the occurrence of gallstones, cancers and female reproductive health issues before moving on to determining utilization of strategies for improving outcomes and strategies for resistance training in obese patients.
