This Seminar-on-Demand begins with an introduction to the psychological and social aspects of athletic injury. Dr.Eiring's course identifies phsychological factors and personality variables that predispose athletes to injury. Attendees explore intervention strategies in PT/AT treatment plans for post-traumatic psychological distress including cognitive and relaxation techniques. Risk factor for suicide in athletes and common reasons fro resistance to seeking psychological help are reviewed.
