In this course you will learn the principles of Pilates and how to apply them to the rehab population. Pilates is an EBP exercise system that helps integrated the mind and body. It teaches one how to move with control and concentration by emphasizing proper form and utilizing the correct musculature all while maintaining good body alignment. This course offers you a 3 Phase Pilates exercise program with examples from supine, prone, seated and standing position, and teaches you modifications to use with the breast cancer patient, the low back pain, and the neurologically impaired patient.
