Processing Time Required

Processing time begins on the date all application materials are received and concludes on the date a decision
is rendered.

Processing time for OTED applications can take up to 6 months.

If during the review process it is determined that additional information is needed from the applicant, the
review process is delayed until all information has been received. In these cases, the entire OTED process may
take several more weeks or months to complete.

Applicants should plan accordingly, and consider the time it will take for all documentation to be received and
reviewed by NBCOT®, and the time required for overseas mailing. Many factors beyond the control of NBCOT may influence the processing time of the OTED application
