Item Development and Examination Item Validation Committees:
Working closely with NBCOT and a professional testing agency, a select group of subject matter experts from diverse practice and geographical areas collaborate to develop and validate items for the OTR and COTA certification examinations. The subject matter experts participate in one of several certification examination item development and validation groups. These include the: COTA and OTR item writer group, OTR and COTA Certification Examination Validation Committee (CEVC), and OTR Simulation Question Development Committee (SQDC).

Executive Committee
The six Board members on this committee are empowered to act with the authority of the Board of Directors between meetings of the Board or in the absence of a quorum of the Board at any meeting of the Board.

Nominating Committee
This committee, consisting of at least three Board members, has the responsibility for soliciting and nominating candidates and preparing an election slate for the Officer and Director positions on the Board in preparation for the election by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications and Compliance Review Committee (QCRC)
The Qualifications and Compliance Review Committee is a six-member Board committee that adjudicates disciplinary action matters concerning certificants or applicants for certification.
