EFFECTIVE OCTOBER, 2012 Previously, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) was required to complete the Occupational Therapist Eligibility Determination (OTED). Effective October, 2012, the TOEFL will no longer be required to complete the OTED process. What does this mean for me? This means that if you have not yet taken the TOEFL or have not passed the TOEFL, it will no longer be required to obtain your OTED determination. Is the TOEFL still required for VCVC? Those applicant’s who are in the process of, or who are planning on applying for the Visa Credential Verification Certificate (VCVC), will still be required to submit a passing TOEFL score.
