Language & Terms Updated in OTR, COTA Certification Exams

Terminology related to several mental health disorders, including autism-related disorders changed with the May 2013 publication of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).

Language and terms used in the Occupational Therapist Registered OTR and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA certification examination items administered in 2015 onward will incorporate the DSM-5 terminology.
