Scheduling the Exam

Candidates can schedule their testing appointment directly with Prometric AFTER they receive their Authorization to Test (ATT) letter.

A list of Prometric test centers can be found online at www.prometric.com. Candidates are encouraged to locate a test center and schedule their examination online. If a candidate chooses to call Prometric instead, the call center should be contacted, rather than the individual Prometric test center. Prometric’s contact information will be included in the candidate’s ATT letter. NBCOT cannot schedule or confirm individual exam appointments. Any exam candidate approved for testing accommodations must follow the instructions in their ATT letter.

Candidates are provided four (4) hours to take the examination. Candidates should plan on being at the test center for five (5) hours and fifteen (15) minutes to complete the tutorial, survey, and other administrative requirements.
