NBCOT Entry-level Self-assessment Tools

The OTR or COTA Entry-level Self-assessment Tool is an excellent resource to help you identify a self-perceived indication of your knowledge, skills, and experience in relation to the validated domains and tasks of OT practice. Using a ranking scale, you indicate your perceived level of skill competence across the OTR or COTA domain and task areas. The printable report provided at the end of the self-assessment can be used to help guide your overall test preparation strategies. You can take this self-assessment as many times as you want throughout your examination preparation phase to track your overall perceived competence for entry-level practice.

The practice area-specific self-assessment tools are now replaced by a single OTR Entry-level Self-assessment based on the most recent Practice Analysis of the Occupational Therapist Registered OTR®. This single tool allows you to assess your self-perceived knowledge, skills, and experience across all occupational therapy practice areas. This enhanced tool also allows the flexibility of saving a PDF version of your assessment report or emailing a copy of the assessment report to your personal email account for future reference.
