Curriculum Textbook and Peer-Reviewed Journal Reports: OTR & COTA

NBCOT recently completed surveys to identify textbooks and peer-reviewed journals commonly used in occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs. The scope of these studies was to survey entry-level post-baccalaureate occupational therapy programs and occupational therapy assistant programs to identify the most current and commonly-used textbooks and peer-reviewed journal references used among entry-level OT programs.  These surveys resulted in an updated reference list of publications used in entry-level OT academic programs, which will be used by NBCOT item writers to reference items developed for the OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST REGISTERED OTR® and CERTIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT COTA® certification examinations.  The references will also be available to the Occupational Therapy Certification Examination Committees (OTCE) to verify and validate items appearing on the certification examinations.
