CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION SCORE REPORTING
A candidate’s certification examination score is reported directly to the exam candidate, in writing, and sent via U.S. mail. The exam score is disseminated in writing for security and confidentiality purposes. The online score reporting service for exam candidates only conveys the pass/fail status.
The official hard copy score report includes:
· Passing candidate: total scaled score and an official NBCOT® certificate and wallet card.
· Failing candidate: total scaled score along with performance information for each ‘domain’ area of the examination. A domain is defined as a ‘major area of work.’ The information on the domain areas is provided for diagnostic purposes only.
Hard copy exam score reports are printed and mailed within four (4) to six (6) weeks of exam scoring. Please check the exam scoring calendar online at www.nbcot.org.
In order to access your examination score report, you MUST provide, the
identical FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, USERNAME (E-MAIL ADDRESS) AND PASS CODE that is on file from your most recent NBCOT® certification examination application.
If you have forgotten your pass code, please go to the CHECK APPLICATION STATUS link under Exam Candidates. You will get the first page of the online application. Follow the instructions for having your pass code sent to your e-mail address.
