NBCOT Navigator® Competency Assessment Platform

The NBCOT Navigator is a suite of online tools designed to help you assess your competency across various areas of occupational therapy. All tools were created based on current practice and evidence-based literature. Complete the tools to earn competency assessment units (CAUs) toward renewal, develop your occupational therapy knowledge and skills, and stay current in your practice.

All current OTR and COTA certificants have access to the Navigator for free and can earn up to 36 CAUs each renewal cycle.

Navigator is now available on tablets through the App Store or Google Play. Earn units toward renewal or your state licensure anywhere, even without an internet connection. Certificants have the option to check out tools to their device to play offline and upload the results once they are connected again.

Units Earned Through the Navigator

OTR and COTA certificants can earn up to 36 CAUs through the Navigator. Here is the breakdown on the number of units you can earn through successful plays, as well as the maximum number of times tools can be played.
