Update on Exam Scheduling

On June 1, Prometric will resume testing for all client programs, both essential and non-essential, wherever possible. The open site list has been updated to indicate sites that are available for essential-only programs and for all programs. Prometric continues to update the list daily and we encourage you to check it frequently.

Recently, Prometric posted a letter to candidates online that outlines the steps they are taking to ensure faster service, when to expect emails regarding impacted appointments, and guidance on how to reach out for support when needed.

Late last week Prometric displaced appointments running from June 1-15 due to capacity restrictions and sites that are still closed. Future cancellations are expected to occur as required by social distancing guidelines and governmental ordinances. If you have experienced multiple cancellations and are still having difficulty rescheduling, please email NBCOT at credentialingservices@nbcot.org. While we are not able to schedule appointments for you, a member of our staff will contact Prometric to make them aware of the scheduling challenges and advocate on your behalf. Please remember that scheduling and availability continue to evolve. You will receive a reply from NBCOT within two business days after receiving your request.

It is important to review the social distancing policies that are in place, which you will be expected to comply with when you arrive for your exam administration appointment. Remember that you must bring your own face mask/covering to your appointment or you will not be allowed to test.

We recommend that you continue to check for appointments on Prometric’s website as they continue to open centers and add more hours and days to their operations.
