NBCOT’s Board of Directors announces a leadership transition. Ben Price is stepping down from the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. We thank Ben for his leadership and contributions to the organization and its mission during his tenure. We wish Ben continued success as he pursues future opportunities in the nonprofit and professional certification arenas.
Effective immediately, Angela Macauley, PMP, will serve as Interim President and CEO. Angela has dedicated the past 18 years of her career to NBCOT, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Governance. She is a trusted and respected leader known for her ability to bring people together, listen, and lead with clarity and purpose. Angela has a proven record of driving strategic initiatives, implementing innovative ideas, and advancing NBCOT’s mission by building strong internal and external partnerships. Her deep understanding of the organization and unwavering commitment to excellence make her the right person to lead NBCOT through this transition and into its next chapter.
“I care deeply about NBCOT, our mission, and the practice of occupational therapy,” said Angela Macauley. “This organization has a long history of public protection, innovation, and service, and I’m honored to lead us forward during this important time. I’m committed to listening, learning, and working alongside our dedicated team, partners, and community to ensure NBCOT continues to grow, evolve, and serve the profession with integrity.”
Board Chair Mary Smith, EdD, OTR/L, said, “We are confident in Angela’s ability to lead during this transition and look forward to the continued progress and impact of NBCOT’s work.”
