NBCOT Statement Denouncing Racism
The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) condemns racism, violence, and police brutality, and we are against all forms of discrimination, injustice, and inequality.
We stand with Black communities, including our colleagues, board members, OTR and COTA certificants, and students. We will be supporting organizations that are working to improve equality for all people of color. We know that one of the most important things we can do is continue to listen and learn from people of color in our occupational therapy community but that this alone is not enough. At this pivotal moment, we urge our community to join us in standing up and speaking out against racism and injustice of any kind.
